WHAT IS THE VISITING ARTISTS PROGRAMME?
The Visiting Artists Programme is designed for artists who are further along in their careers and seeking time and space to take projects to the next stage. Many visiting artists already have label, gallery, publishing or institutional backing, yet still rarely gain access to environments that allow for deep focus, experimentation and meaningful peer exchange.
Visiting artists are offered access to studio facilities, technical equipment, personnel and on-site accommodation. From a Steinway D piano to a studio space that can double as a dance studio, the programme provides an opportunity to work within a professional yet relaxed setting, alongside other artists who understand the realities of sustained creative practice, including its financial and emotional challenges.
As with the residency, the Visiting Artists Programme is informal and trust-based. There are no expectations around outcomes or productivity. Artists are free to work at their own pace and in their own way, supported by an environment that values reflection, connection and artistic autonomy. Where appropriate, we also aim to facilitate introductions and connections beyond the programme, supporting artists as their work continues to evolve.
