We welcomed Awkward Moments as Visiting Artists at the studio. The duo work across ambient electronica, neo-classical composition, live performance, and visual collaboration. Following the premiere of their debut album An Entropic Cycle at Houghton Festival and the release of SIX SEASONS, they have presented work at venues and festivals including Glastonbury, Fabric, KOKO, the ICA, and HÖR Berlin. They also host their radio show An Entropic Hour on OpenLab Radio.
During their time at the studio, Awkward Moments worked on V Elements, a five-track project based aroundii the five elements: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water. Part of their ongoing Ambient series, the work explores each element through texture, rhythm, atmosphere, and tonal movement. Using field recordings gathered from the surrounding Oxfordshire landscape alongside studio composition, the residency gave them space to shape the project in direct response to the environment around them.
