Artist residencies at SRM give artists free studio space and time to develop musical and artistic projects.
We welcomed Amie Corry as a resident at the studio. Amie is a London based writer and editor whose work has appeared in publications including frieze, AnOther, Worms, the Times Literary Supplement, Art Monthly, RA Magazine, Flash Art and Gagosian Quarterly. She has written for monographs and edited books with Tate, MACK and Mary DelMonico. Amie also chairs Hospital Rooms, an arts and mental health organisation working with artists, service users and staff in psychiatric hospitals. In 2019, she co-founded Primadonna, a books and ideas festival.
During her time at the studio, Amie completed a novel exploring value across three moments in London’s art world. She also researched a new project looking at encounters between psychoanalysis and religious communities in the mid-twentieth century.
