On Saturday 9th December 2023, Studio Richter Mahr commemorated the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in a sold out show at the London Coliseum to raise money for Médecins Sans Frontières.
The show included performances by Trinity Laban Gold Medal winner Carolina Cury, and Konstantinos Damianakis, as well as a selection of pieces curated by BBC Radio 3’s Elizabeth Alker on piano and electronics and a wonderful reading of The Declaration of Human Rights by Gwendoline Christie.
Nurtured by Yulia’s personal journey and artistic outlook, VOICES, which additionally comprised hundreds of readings of the Universal Declaration Of Human Rights in dozens of languages, created an aural landscape through which music flowed, allowing the musicians and audiences alike to delve into the profound stories embedded within the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
